Department of Applied Physics

The department is presently catering to teaching of physics at I^st year level and four interdisciplinary courses viz.Materials science at IInd year Computer Science & Electronics, Electromagnetic & electronic materials at III^rd B. E. Metallurgy. The department is also guiding U. G. projects of Metallurgy students. The department has developed expertise in the fields of materials science, Optical fibers, and laser laboratories. It has well equipped audio-visual laboratory. The department is actively engaged in Ph.D. programmes in the fields of Ferroelectrics single crystal, Solid electrolytes and glass ceramics.
